Lucas is a fantastic technician who provides top-notch, truly dedicated service. I recently traveled across the country in search of a new piano. After it arrived, I wanted to find the best technician I could to bring out its full musical potential. I contacted Lucas to request a complete tuning, regulation, and voicing service. He was easy to communicate with, attentive, and very responsive to the particular adjustments I was hoping to see. The result was remarkable. Though the piano was already very good upon arrival, Lucas helped bring out precisely the final level of refinement that I was hoping for. The piano feels effortless to play, and I’m able to much more easily realize the artistic vision I have for the pieces I’m practicing. I’m happy to give my strongest recommendation for Lucas and the work that he does.

Lucas Brookins is efficient and completely competent. I have been a small church choir director for 40 years, and have sometimes touched up a piano myself — very slowly and laboriously, but I can hear when a string is out of tune. I listened as Lucas was tuning, and once or twice when I thought he had finished with a tiny tiny bit out of tune left on that string, he hadn’t actually finished. When he did, it sounded perfect.

When he was done, I played the piano and it sounded great again!

Very recently was my first experience with Lucas and his tuning. He was easy to speak with over the phone while scheduling a time. I play my piano a minimum of 4 hours every week. I play “by ear”, and I have an acoustic piano. I am not highly knowledgeable about the inside of my piano. He respectfully addressed my questions. But, my ears and fingers know when it is not in tune. After the tuning, my piano felt & sounded beautiful to me!! His fee was very reasonable. I found Lucas to be a professional.
